Choi So-young, a struggling female law student, faces a difficult situation when her grandmother, who had been providing her tuition money, passes away. In a desperate attempt to continue her education, she teams up with her friend Hee-suk, who aspires to be a writer. Together, they devise a plan to deceive Choi Rim, a prominent lawmaker, into believing that So-young is his long-lost daughter. Through this ruse, So-young gains entry into Choi Rims household.Determined to succeed, So-young dedicates herself to her studies and eventually fulfills her dream of becoming a lawyer. During her first trial, she takes on the case of a female inmate whose story mirrors her own struggles. Moved by the inmates plight and drawing from her own experiences, So-young passionately advocates for womens rights in the face of a harsh capitalist society, shedding tears as she fights for justice.After successfully winning the case, So-young returns home and decides to come clean about her deception to Choi Rims wife, revealing the truth about her identity and the circumstances that led her to take such drastic measures.
