Assuming the persona of a deceased postal inspector discovered along the trail, a mysterious stranger arrives in a quaint western town and becomes embroiled in a stagecoach robbery orchestrated by a vicious gang of twenty outlaws. Uncovering that the target of the theft is not a typical strongbox but a carriage made entirely of solid gold, the stranger seeks the help of a washed-up old preacher. Together, they set out on a perilous journey to pursue the dangerous gang and their hidden accomplice.
