Set in 1960s Germany, the film follows Army lawyer Major Steve Garrett as he is tasked with defending four American soldiers accused of raping 16-year-old Karin Steinhof. Karin was enjoying a swim in a local river when the soldiers encountered her, leading to their subsequent arrest. Initially unimpressed by his clients, Major Garrett is determined to provide them with the best possible defense. When his efforts are met with resistance, Garrett is left with no choice but to challenge Karin on the witness stand.
