A confident parrot and a carefree librarian disrupt the orderly life of a reclusive man. Lyman (played by Jackson Hurst) leads a solitary existence, working night shifts for the Courtesy Patrol. His routine is thrown into disarray when a colorful parrot unexpectedly flies into his trailer, sparking his determination to locate its owner. This quest leads him to Fiona (portrayed by Rachel Nichols), a spirited librarian who has been observing Lyman from afar. Despite his initial reluctance, Fiona insists on assisting him in finding the parrots rightful owner. Alongside her loyal basset hound, the trio embarks on a journey to uncover the birds past owners, ultimately unveiling hidden aspects of Lymans history. As Fiona tags along on Lymans nightly patrols, she is confronted with a reality more complex and intense than her idealized notions of romance.
