The film loosely follows the classic story, while still capturing its key visuals and thrilling action. In the plot, a young seminary student embarks on a challenging task to survive three nights of prayer while protecting the body of a deceased witch maiden. Throughout the ordeal, he faces the relentless attempts of the maiden and her legion of demonic forces to tempt him out of the protective boundary created by a sacred ring of chalk.
